Level 3 in Business and Administration

Experienced Administrators in an Early Years Setting are required to adopt a solution-based approach, effectively communicating with multiple stakeholders and contributing to the decision making process. Level 3 Learners will reflect on and develop job role specific skills, leadership and management skills, contribute to the running of projects and develop processes within their area of expertise.

Location: Work Based

Duration: 15 – 18 Months

Entry Requirements: Employees should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.

Employee progression: Successful employees could progress on to a higher level Business Administration or Management and Leadership framework

Example Units:

UNIT 9 – Supervise a Team in an Early Years Environment

This unit is about supervising the work of a team in an early years environment to make sure that work is planned, carried out, supervised, monitored and evaluated for possible improvements in ways of working individually and as a team.

UNIT 67 – Provide Administrative Support in Early Years Settings

This unit is about providing administrative support within an early years environment, including understanding the policies, procedures, environment and own role within the setting.

Costs/Funding

This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework and as a stand-alone qualification through the Advanced Learner Loan. Alternatively, this Level 3 is also available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
