Supply Chain Operations L2

Supply Chain Operatives make a significant contribution to overall performance and the operations ability to drive efficiency. Employees completing the Level 2 in Supply Chain Operations will develop and improve their knowledge and understanding of operational health and safety, effective communication and working relationships and the key aims of the operation by obtaining and analysing data and demonstrating their ability in monitoring, processing and controlling specific operational areas.

Location: Work Based

Duration: 12 – 15 Months

Entry Requirements: Employees should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.

Employee Progression: Successful employees could progress on to a Level 3 Supply Chain Management framework.

Course Content

Example Units:

UNIT 1 – Health, Safety and Security at Work

This unit supports learners to fully understand their role in health, safety and security and monitor their workplace for hazards. Learners will consider appropriate actions to follow in the event of an incident, including the raising of alarms, the use of emergency equipment and the following of correct procedure for the shutdown of equipment.

UNIT 7 – Analyse Information on the Supply Chain

The unit considers the collating and analysing of data relevant to logistics operation and supply chain. The learner will develop their knowledge and understanding of techniques, business solutions and the presentation of results.

Costs/Funding

This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.

At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
