Team Leading L2
Team Leaders ensure that strategic decisions are communicated effectively through the whole organisation and ensure that processes and procedures are sustainably managed. The Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading framework aims to introduce the principles of team leading, communication, personal performance and the leading and managing of a team. Employees will also develop knowledge and understanding on a range of topics including managing conflict, collaborating with other departments, resolving customer complaints and contributing to meetings in a business environment.
Location: Work Based
Duration: 12 – 15 Months
Entry Requirements: Employees should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
Employee Progression: Successful employees could progress on to the Level 3 in Management framework or specialise in a higher level framework more specific to the job role they have progressed into.
UNIT 10 – Manage Team Performance
This unit supports employees to understand and implement the principles of benchmarking, setting and maintain the standards and quality control required by the team. Learners will consider the management of workload within the team, assess team performance and communication and ensure that all members understand the purpose of the team and the goals set.
UNIT 26 – Develop a Presentation
The unit aims to develop a learner’s skills to present information clearly both visually and verbally, using these skills in both a formal and informal setting to instruct, persuade and inform their audience. Learners will consider the advantages and disadvantages of using different communication methods to present information and demonstrate their ability to plan, design, organise and prepare information for presentation.
This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
