Traffic Office L2
Developing the junior members of the transport office team is essential to adequate succession planning and the effective management of inbound and outbound loads balancing against the regulatory requirements set by the sector and the European Union. The Level 2 in Traffic Office supports junior team members develop their skills, knowledge and understanding in all transport office activities including health, safety and security on and off-site, the release of vehicles for daily tasks, the routing and scheduling of loads and the development of effective working relationships with all colleagues in logistics operations.
Location: Work Based
Duration: 12 – 15 Months
Entry Requirements: Employees should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
Employee Progression: Successful employees could progress on to Level 3 frameworks in Traffic Office or Logistics Operations.
UNIT 3 – Contribute to the Provision of Customer Service in Logistics Operations
This unit supports individuals to create and maintain customer satisfaction and develop good relationships through effective communication. Learners will also consider business and customer confidentiality, the organisation’s image and brand and the limit to their authority when dealing with customer complaints.
UNIT 6 – Monitor Vehicle Movements
The unit aims to develop the knowledge and understanding of monitoring vehicle movements, responding to changes that impact on routing and scheduling, maintaining accurate records and informing relevant stakeholders.
This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
