Traffic Office L3
Preparing experienced members of the transport team for management duties is essential to the continual improvement of processes and systems within a tightly resource managed are of logistics and supply chain. Individuals embarking on the Level 3 in Traffic Office framework will develop their skills, knowledge and understanding in the management of the transport office, as well as the recruiting, selecting and inducting new staff members and the production of costings for freight transport activities.
Location: Work Based
Duration: 15 – 18 Months
Entry Requirements: Employees should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
Employee progression: Successful employees could progress on to a higher level Management and Leadership framework and attain their Transport Manager Certificate for CPC.
UNIT 13 – International Road Transport Operations
This unit will develop knowledge and understanding on the information needed to manage the vehicle, load, documentation and driver in international road transport operations.
UNIT 16 – Recruit, Select and Retain Employees
The unit supports trainee managers and managers to maintain and develop the recruitment and selection process. Learners will determine the pressures that influence staff turnover, reviewing the effectiveness of the recruitment and selection process and look to improve the number of staff that are retained within the business.
This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework and as a stand-alone qualification through the Advanced Learner Loan. Alternatively, this Level 3 is also available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
