First Line Management Level 3
First Line Managers and Supervisors exhibit strong, professional management and leadership skills and play a crucial role in people management and team performance. As a result, organisational goals are achieved.
The Level 3 Diploma framework supports employees to develop these skills and to broaden their ability in a range of skills including the chairing and leading of meetings, implementing change, the maintenance of professional networks and the management of disciplinary and grievance procedures.
Location: Work Based
Duration: 15 – 18 Months
Entry Requirements: Employees should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
Employee progression: Successful employees could progress on to a higher level Management and Leadership framework.
UNIT 13 – Implement and Maintain Business Continuity Plans and Processes
This unit supports new and aspiring first line managers to develop the skills and knowledge to prepare and monitor a business continuity plans (BCPs). Learners will ensure the maintenance to critical systems and ensure that the business processes in place will result in the restoration of systems in the event of either a small or large disaster.
UNIT 25 – Manage a Budget
The unit aims to develop a learner’s ability to set and manage a budget and evaluate how well the budget is met in terms of the organisation’s needs. Learning includes the principles of financial management including budgeting, planning and costing to inform decision making and future budget setting.
This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework and as a stand-alone qualification through the Advanced Learner Loan. Alternatively, this Level 3 is also available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
