Location: Work Based

Duration: 15 – 18 Months

Entry Requirements: Employees should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.

Employee Progression: Successful employees could progress on to a Level 6 or 7 in Management and Leadership.

Example Units:

UNIT 10 – Manage Strategic Marketing Activities

This unit supports Senior Managers to effectively market products to support the organisation to become or maintain their position as market leaders or technological innovators. As a direct result, such intervention brings growth and profits. learners will also consider marketing, competitive pricing and a clear communication strategy which can be monitored to assess success and establish improvements.

UNIT 26 – Lead the Development of a Knowledge Management Strategy

The unit aims to provide Senior Managers with a framework to gather, organise, share and analyse organisational knowledge in relation to resource, document and people management. Learning includes the consideration of push and pull strategies, the use of technology and the management of strategic assets. Furthermore, this unit considers the identification of business critical knowledge and the establishment of knowledge management role models to promote the benefits through communication.

Costs/Funding

This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification. At present, Level 5 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
