The Level 3 in Supply Chain Management is a work-based qualification and it is aimed toward learners who are working in an operational role in the supply chain sector. If this is you, this qualification could lead to employment as a clerical or administrative officer, junior manager, supervisor or technician.

Location: Work Based

Duration: 15 – 18 Months

Entry Requirements: You should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.

Personal Progression: You could progress on to a higher level Management and Leadership framework.

Course Content

Example Units:

UNIT 32 – Plan Change in Supply Chain Management

This unit supports the development of strategy for the planning of organisational change, the change/performance curve, contingency planning, risk assessment and team-building techniques.

UNIT 50 – Develop Productive Working Relationships with Colleagues and Stakeholders

The unit considers the key principles of that enable a culture of productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders. Learners will consider effective communication, negotiation, management of conflicts and the monitoring and reviewing of relationships.


This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework and as a stand-alone qualification through the Advanced Learner Loan. Alternatively, this Level 3 is also available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
