Intermediate Level Logistics Operations

The Intermediate Logistics Operations framework has been developed to support businesses to attract, develop and retain new talent in their operation. As a Level 2 learner, you will be supported  to develop your knowledge and understanding across the whole operation, developing your knowledge of health, safety and security, customer service, working relationships and individual performance across the operation, as well as specialising in drive side, warehousing and traffic operations.

Location: Work Based

Duration: 12 – 15 Months

Entry Requirements: You should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.

Employee Progression: You could progress onto the Level 3 in Logistics Operations or specialise in another field within Logistics, Manufacturing or Supply Chain.

Course Content

Example Units:

UNIT 2 – Contribute to the Provision of Customer Service

This unit will support you to develop your knowledge and understanding in creating and maintaining customer satisfaction and developing relationships through effective communication.

UNIT 11 – Obtain Information on the Collection and/or Delivery of Loads

The unit considers a driver’s role and responsibility in collecting and delivering loads including ensuring the vehicle is suitable and that the documentation complies with the legal and organisation requirements.

Costs/Funding

This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.

At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
