Intermediate Level Supply Chain Operations

As a Supply Chain Operative, you make a significant contribution to overall performance and the operations ability to drive efficiency and innovation. Within the Level 2 in Supply Chain Operations framework, you will develop and improve your knowledge and understanding of operational health and safety, effective communication and working relationships and the key aims of the operation by obtaining and analysing data and demonstrating your ability to monitor, process and control specific operational areas.

Additional Information

Location: Work Based

Duration: 12 – 15 Months

Entry Requirements: You should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.

Employee Progression: You could progress on to a Level 3 Supply Chain Management framework.

Course Content

Example Units:

UNIT 1 – Health, Safety and Security at Work

This unit will support you to fully understand your role in health, safety and security and monitor their workplace for hazards. You will consider appropriate actions to follow in the event of an incident, including the raising of alarms, the use of emergency equipment and the following of correct procedure for the shut-down of equipment.

UNIT 7 – Analyse Information on the Supply Chain

The unit considers the collating and analysing of data relevant to logistics operation and supply chain. You will develop your knowledge and understanding of techniques, business solutions and the presentation of results.


This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.

At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
