Intermediate Level Traffic Office
As a new or junior Traffic Office team member, it’s essential for you to manage inbound and outbound loads well and balance these pressures against the regulatory requirements set by the sector and the European Union. You will develop your skills, knowledge and understanding in all transport office activities including health, safety and security on and off-site, the release of vehicles for daily tasks, the routing and scheduling of loads and the development of effective working relationships with all colleagues and key stakeholders in logistics operations.
Location: Work Based
Duration: 12 – 15 Months
Entry Requirements: You should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
Employee Progression: You could progress on to Level 3 frameworks in Traffic Office or Logistics Operations.
UNIT 3 – Contribute to the Provision of Customer Service in Logistics Operations
This unit will support you to create and maintain customer satisfaction and develop good relationships through effective communication. You will also consider business and customer confidentiality, the organisation’s image and brand and the limit to their authority when dealing with customer complaints.
UNIT 6 – Monitor Vehicle Movements
The unit aims to develop your knowledge and understanding of monitoring vehicle movements, responding to changes that impact on routing and scheduling, maintaining accurate records and informing relevant stakeholders.
This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
