L2 in Facilities Services
Facilities and Contract Coordinators in Schools support the maintenance of premises, services and security. As a learner starting the Level 2 in Facilities Services with Train Together, you will develop your knowledge, understanding and skills on the monitoring of facilities, developing effective working relationships and ensuring that health, safety and security is maintained at all times for all stakeholders.
Location: Work Based
Duration: 12 – 15 Months
Entry Requirements: You should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
Personal Progression: You could progress on to the Advanced Facilities Management framework.
UNIT 8 – Maintain Sire Security and Safety
This unit looks at your knowledge, understanding and skills to monitor procedures including systems security, checking equipment and reporting to the appropriate member of staff. You will be required to demonstrate your understanding of your employer’s policies that relate to security, safety and your job role.
UNIT 12 – Carry Out Maintenance and Minor Repairs
The unit considers how you can make preparations and develop your knowledge and skills to carry out minor repairs and maintain the workplace environment as appropriate.
This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
