L2 in IT User Skills
Robust IT systems and processes are essential within a school and academy setting. Employees who maintain the IT systems at your setting support both data management and data protection, the optimisation of staff efficiency and enhance effective internal and external communication.
Individuals on the Level 2 IT User framework will develop their skills, knowledge and understanding on both software and hardware, from database systems, to media and presentation software, and the effective use of mobile and digital technologies.
Location: Work Based
Duration: 12 – 15 Months
Entry Requirements: You should hold a contract of employment and be employed for a minimum of 16hrs per week.
Personal Progression: You could progress on to a Management and Leadership framework.
UNIT 311 – Using Collaborative Technologies
This unit supports the development of your skills and knowledge to effectively manage and integrate the use of multiple ICT tools within your setting. You will consider how to manage system risk, permissions and data flow and solve moderate to complex problems with the use of collaborative technologies.
UNIT 318 – Database Software
This advanced unit considers the software tools and techniques you require to manage complex databases, create queries against multiple selection criteria and produce reports through menus and short cuts. As a learner, you will explore how to support, train and apply new software and techniques as part of your qualification.
This qualification can be fully funded within an Apprenticeship framework. Alternatively, it is available commercially as a stand-alone qualification.
At present, Level 2 qualifications are not eligible for Advanced Learner Loans.
