Foundation in Accounting

The Foundation Certificate in Accounting aims to provide you with the necessary tools to become an integral part of a finance team providing you with the knowledge and skills to support the efficient running of a finance function. Over the programme, you will learn to take on a wide range of responsibilities which could include but are not limited to, basic bookkeeping activities, working with sales and purchase ledgers, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct and recording of cash and data entry. The course has been designed to provide you with transferable skills which can be used across many sectors including corporate businesses, sole traders, partnerships, Public Sector and not-for-profit organisations.

The modules for the Level 2 Certificate in Accounting are:

  1. Bookkeeping Transactions
  2. Bookkeeping Controls
  3. Elements of Costings
  4. Using Accounting Software
  5. Working Effectively in Finance
  6. AAT Synoptic Assessment

Upon successful completion of 6 computer-based assessments, you will be awarded a Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting.

The courses typical duration is 9 months.

The cost for this course is £1,000 including AAT membership, course registration, and the computer-based assessments (CBA). Retakes of each CBA are not included in this cost.
