Childcare Apprenticeship Course

The Children, Young People and Families Manager Pathway II is the standard for practitioners within the community. It focuses on the development of new approaches and working practices that deliver improved outcomes for children, young person and families engaged at the centre of practice.

The Children, Young People and Families standard will develop skills, knowledge and behaviours to enable you to:

  • Provide direction to and build a cohesive team
  • Implement a working environment which supports diginity and human rights
  • Support the team to work through challenges and ensure that they operate safely
  • Enable the organisation to focus on and achieve improved outcomes for children, young people and families
  • Utilise and manage resources
  • Build relations through effective communication and partnership work
  • Ensure a culture of continuing professional development

End point assessment at the end of your course require you to complete a Situational Judgement Test and a Competence Interview to support the portfolio you have built and submitted submitted. As part of the standard, you must achieve the NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF) (July 2014).

The NCFE Cache Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools (QCF) (July 2014) is also available as a standalone qualification which can be funded privately or via the Advanced Learner Loan.
