Level 3 Learning and Skills Assessor Apprenticeship

Gain professional status as a trainer, coach and assessor. You’ll gain the tools and techniques to extend deepen the coaching and mentoring culture within your organisation – passing on your wealth of experience to less experienced staff.

  • Qualifications – Level 2 Certificate in Safeguarding, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement
  • Learning style – face-to-face, online, and workplace coaching

  • Duration – typically 15 to 18 months

Off-the-job training

With an apprenticeship you take 20% of your time at work to complete off-the-job training. It’s an innovative way for businesses to gain a multi-skilled workforce – you’ll be able to bring sector insights and the latest knowledge into your organisation.

We’ll support you to train during work hours and confidently evidence your off-the-job learning. You’ll immediately add value by applying your learning to your role – so it’s a win-win for both you and your employer.

How you’ll learn

The programme combines specialist onsite delivery, workshops and directed learning – including virtual learning, masterclasses and workplace coach visits.

How you’ll be assessed

At the end of the apprenticeship you’ll complete an end-point assessment – designed to check whether you’ve developed the required skills, knowledge and behaviours. This is conducted by an independent body to make sure it’s impartial. For this course, your end-point assessment organisation is TQUK

You’ll complete an observation of practice, showcase examples of your Educational Testing Service (ETS) practice and complete a professional discussion with an independent assessor.

Entry requirements

You’ll need to meet these requirements:

  • Level 2 English, Maths, and ICT equivalent
  • Resident in the UK/EEA/EU for the last 3 years
  • Meet module requirements through a relevant job role

Career progression

After successfully completing this coaching course, you’ll be awarded the NCFE CACHE Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Safeguarding and Prevent, and TQUK Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.

With these qualifications, you’ll enhance your employability – and you could move on to the Level 5 Learning and Skills Teacher Apprenticeship.
