Facilities Management Supervisor

A facilities management supervisor is an individual that manages facilities management services, or a group of services, for either hard FM including estate and building management or soft FM including catering, cleaning, admin and security. All FM supervisors will be required to supervise other staff; to understand the contractual requirements and to understand service delivery targets between their employing organisation and the client in order to achieve service targets. They will be required to provide customer service skills and be proactive in finding solutions to problems.

The Level 3 Facilities Management Supervisor standard will support you to:

  • Understand the importance of health and safety in the workplace to practitioner standards
  • Organise and delegate day-to-day FM responsibilities in the workplace or contractor engagement
  • Monitor costs, understand budget composition and be financially aware of cost strategies
  • Procure services and suppliers, manage the relationships and develop opportunities for innovations
  • Resolve customer service queries and issues utilising contractual obligations as a measurement tool
  • Manage the day to day performance of staff and contribute to their professional development.

At the end of the course you will be (1) observed in your role, (2) complete a small multiple-choice test and (3) have an interview with an independent assessor.
