Apprenticeships, Management, Workplace and Facilities Management

Collette Fowlds has recently completed the Level 3 Facilities Management Supervisor standard under the guidance of her Trainer Coach, Mike Isted. Collette is a Soft Service Manager with British Geological Survey (BGS). Upon his visit to Nottingham, Mike found a bright and committed learner who was hungry to complete this apprenticeship! However, over the next 9-12 months, Collette faced several challenges due to the C-19 pandemic and was met with an influx of responsibilities including internal changes at work, nurturing her family, and juggling the apprenticeship in between – no mean feat! Despite the circumstances, Collette attended every workshop and completed all tasks, dedicating as much time as possible to the apprenticeship and achieving! Since completion, Collette has enrolled onto a degree level course as a result of her newfound confidence and abilities. Mike expressed “Collette is robust, resilient, committed, intelligent and engaging.  She is interested, and she is interesting. She is the future of Facilities Management (FM)”.

“My journey has been tough but worth it. After a bad experience with a previous training provider, I was accepted at Train Together. Mike has taught me not only about Facilities Management but many other aspects of education and life lessons, I’m extremely grateful to have been able to learn from and work with Mike. There are many things that I’ll take with me throughout my career, that I believe will strengthen my position in the FM industry”. – Collette

Due to the high quality of work and commitment to her Level 3 Facilities Management Supervisor standard, Collette is our Workplace and Facilities Management Apprentice of the Year 2021! Well done and congratulation Collette!!
